When you join Choral Arts Initiative as our Administrative & Social Media Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in both internal operations and external communications. From managing artist rosters and contracts to crafting engaging digital content, you’ll support the artistic and organizational goals of a nationally recognized choral organization. You’ll attend rehearsals and performances, assist with production logistics, and help grow CAI’s digital footprint across platforms. As a hybrid, primarily remote role, this position requires strong self-direction, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative spirit.
Detailed Position Summary
Choral Arts Initiative seeks a detail-oriented, creative, and proactive individual to serve as its Administrative & Social Media Coordinator. Reporting to the Operations Director, this position manages a variety of operational and digital functions. Primary duties include maintaining choral artist rosters, drafting and organizing contracts, facilitating communication between internal and external stakeholders, and managing front-of-house and production logistics. Equally important, the coordinator will lead the creation and execution of social media content and strategy, capturing CAI’s work in real time and translating it into compelling digital storytelling. The ideal candidate thrives in both structured and creative environments, and is comfortable working independently while staying in close communication with the leadership team.
This role is approximately 60% remote and 40% in-person, requiring flexible availability for evening and weekend rehearsals and performances. This balance of remote and in-person work is subject to change based on the needs of the organization.
Social Media & Digital Content (~60%)

Develop and execute social media strategies that reflect CAI’s mission and programming.

Capture, edit, and create compelling content (photos, videos, captions) for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and email newsletters.

Attend rehearsals and performances to capture and post brand-aligned, real-time content.

Track analytics and audience engagement to inform future strategies.

Maintain a consistent visual and written tone across platforms.

Archive photo and video assets for ongoing use.​
Artistic & Operational Support (~25%)

Coordinate contract offers for Choral Artists, staff, guest artists, and faculty.

Maintain accurate attendance, payroll, and stipend records and ensure timely payments.

Support Artistic Director, Operations Director, and Choral Artists with communication and logistics.

Assist with box office, front-of-house, and event production as needed.

Coordinate volunteers and maintain audition interest records.

Assist with setup and tear down based on venue specifications, stage management plans, seating charts, and Artistic Leadership Team input.
Administrative Support (~15%)

Respond to general inquiries and manage organizational email accounts.

Maintain donor and ticketing records and databases.

Organize digital files, meeting notes, and planning documents.

Support basic event planning, venue bookings, and office operations.

Other duties as assigned by the Operations Director or Executive Director. ​
Ideal Candidates Will Have:

Interest in and passion for performing arts, particularly new choral music.

Excellent organizational and written communication skills.

Knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, etc.).

Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Workspace.

Familiarity with digital productivity tools such as Asana, Monday, Airtable, and Slack.

Creative problem-solving skills and an ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
